Introduction

The Ethnographically Informed Community and Cultural Assessment Research Systems (the EICCARS) is informed by the Cultural Systems Paradigm (the CSP). The EICCARS consists of two overarching programs. The first, EICCARS Community Assessment Research, focuses on local communities. The second, EICCARS Cultural Assessment Research, focuses on ethnic groups, organizations, and institutions as cultural systems. These research programs use similar methods but differ with regards to the social units on which they focus.
